Australian Visitor for Aberdare & Penrhiwceiber
March 11, 2008
From Western Australia, Susan Bennetts (on the right in the photo) brought greetings to Aberdare Trefoil members from their twinned Guild of Albany.
She visited Jean (on the left in the photo) and family at Penrhiwceiber and Joan Rees and family. Susan wanted to see a castle, and enjoyed Caerphilly Castle where she was also able to take photographs of the Tommy Cooper memorial statue.
Cyfarthfa Castle was included in her short stay, and up the Graig mountain to view the area from above.
Susan’s daughter Alison and grandson Corley visited Ysgol Gymraeg, Abercynon to experience school life through the medium of Welsh.
