Destination Ponty… New Tourism Signs Launched

March 13, 2008

A series of new signs highlighting the many tourist attractions enjoyed and appreciated by visitors to Pontypridd have been unveiled this week.

The signs, which can be found at Bridge Street to the north and the Broadway at Pontypridd train station to the south, are another example of the investment being made in the county town by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.

Over the past few months the Council’s Tourism Unit has worked on a newly published strategy, “Reaching Destination Rhondda Cynon Taf” which aims to develop and raise the quality of tourism on offer to visitors to the county borough.

The recently installed signs in Pontypridd act as a gateway to the attractions and facilities on offer to tourists and residents of the county borough.

They provide information on what to see and do in the area including specific information on Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Rhondda Heritage Park, the William Edwards Bridge, The Muni Arts Centre and Pontypridd Museum amongst others.
