RCT Council ‘Green’ Information Day at the Muni, Pontypridd on April 18th, 2008

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s are holdindg an Open Day with an ‘eco’ flavour at the Muni in Pontypridd on Friday April 18.
Open from 10am to 2pm, the day will include experts who can provide advice, support and guidance, free samples of products that can save energy, details of grants that can help you think green and speeches from champions of the environmental cause.
Organised by the Council’s new Energy Team, which is working to cut fuel consumption, energy use and the carbon footprint of the authority and its residents, the day will feature:
· Information stands from organisations that are involved in sustainability, who will be offering guides, products and expert advice.
· Opening speech from Jane Davidson AM, the all-Wales environmental lead.
· Councillors and Cabinet Members who are championing the cause.
· A presentation from the regional account manager of the Carbon Trust.
· Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Energy Manager and their team.
· Displays of award-winning energy saving projects that will inspire you.
· The Strategic Enabling Officer will be there with the Energy Saving Trust to give advice regarding domestic energy saving initiatives.
It is hoped we can share best practice, offer inspiration and provide the products and support needed for us all to achieve the Council’s aims for a cleaner, greener RCT for future generations.
