Tennis sessions at Llantrisant for people with disabilities
April 21, 2008
Tennis sessions are on offer this spring for people with disabilities who would like to try the game. Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Disability Sports Officer, Shelley Jones, is working with Dragon Sport and Llantrisant Tennis Club to organise the tennis sessions for people with disabilities.
There will be a schools ‘taster day’ on Wednesday, May 21, at Llantrisant Tennis Club, Southgate Park, Llantrisant, from 10am-12pm, for school pupils only to attend. If you would like pupils from your school to attend, please contact Shelley on 01443 490242.
A second taster day will be held during half term, on Wednesday, May 28, from 3pm-4pm, for all ages. Sessions will then begin on Sunday, June 8, from 3-4pm at Llantrisant Tennis Club.
These sessions will run as a ‘buddy’ scheme, where each person with a disability brings a friend, mum, dad, brother or sister along, and the buddies will also receive coaching.
