Get Ready For Rhondda Cynon Taf County Show

Beautiful blooms, perfect parsnips and smashing spuds will all be on display when the Rhondda Cynon Taf County show gets underway on Saturday, 30th and Sunday, 31st of August.

Llantrisant Leisure Centre is this year’s venue for a weekend of fabulous food and entertainment. People can come and display their prize flowers, vegetables, photos, foods and wine – or they can just turn up and enjoy viewing the goods on display.

There are prizes to be won in a wide range of categories including open veg (runner beans, shallots, peas, etc), open flower (gladioli, buttonholes, pot plant etc), roses, chrysanthemums, dahlia, floral art, open culinary (wimberry pie, jams, cakes, chutney etc), home-made wine, handicraft, parchment, woodwork, art, bobbin lace and photography.

There are also special children’s sections, with prizes in a number of categories including best painting, best poem and best handwriting.

As well as the annual competitions and exhibitions of local produce and crafts, the National Vegetable Show will also be hosted during the weekend.

The Rhondda Cynon Taf County Show exhibits will be open for the public to view from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday 30th and from 9am to 5pm on Sunday 31st.
