Summer Kids Fun at your Local Library

Wet weather hasn’t damped the spirits of Rhondda Cynon Taf schoolchildren because they’ve been having plenty of fun at their local library.
A total of 23 local libraries will hold a series of classes including Chinese Dragon Puppets, which is suitable for children aged four and over, along with Chinese Lanterns and Chinese Stencils which are suitable for children aged five and over.
The sessions are free and children aged under eight must be accompanied by a parent or carer who must remain in the library with the child.
From Monday August 11th the classes will be held anytime from 11am to 3.30pm at various libraries throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Cabinet Member for Culture and Recreation Cllr Robert Bevan said: “We take great pride in the quantity and quality of classes available at our local libraries for users of all ages.
”During the summer months we certainly have plenty to offer children throughout the county borough who I’m sure will be glad to avoid the rain and have plenty of fun in their local library!”

Pontypridd Library 11am-12noon, Chinese Stencils
Penygraig Library 11am-12noon, Chinese Stories and Crafts
Pontyclun Library 2.30pm-3.30pm, Chinese Lanterns
Rhydyfelin Library 2.30pm-3.30pm, Chinese Stencils
Treherbert Library 2.30pm-3.30pm, Chinese Stories and Crafts
