New Rhondda Fach Bus Services
January 18, 2009
Improvements are being made to Sunday bus services in the Rhondda Fach thanks to action taken by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and operator Glamorgan Bus.
From January 25th the no. 131 service to the Royal Glamorgan Hospital will be re-timed to operate two hours earlier than at present to coincide with changes to the visiting times at the hospital.
This service will now serve Stanleytown and provide residents with a direct link to the hospital for the first time.
At the same time, additional evening journeys will be introduced between Maerdy and Pontypridd on service no. 132 that will offer improved connections at Pontypridd with services to and from Cardiff.
The Council’s Cabinet Member for Transportation and Customer Care Cllr Andrew Morgan said: “We are very pleased to assist local residents as much as possible by offering this revised timetable to suit the new visiting times at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
“We are always open to suggestions from passengers and will do all in our power to assist them in anyway possible.”
Full timetable details are available from PTI Cymru on 0871 200 22 33.
